Overview of Multi-Sport Facility Design
Mr. Stephen Alexander, General Manager of Planning , Parks and Recreation, presented an overview of the Multi-Sport Facility Design to date, what the overall objectives were, where the project is now, what follows, the evolution of the design and current size of the facility, details of the design options and the budget.
Mr. Denis Bryan from Barry Bryan Associates (1991) Limited, Architects, Engineers, Landscape Architect and Project Managers, presented eight different options that Council could, if they wished, remove from the current design in order to reduce the cost of the project.
Mr. Alexander continued by presenting his recommendation.
Multi-Sport Facility Financial Overview
Mrs Maureen Adams, General Manager of Financial Services, presented a Financial Overview of the project which included different scenarios regarding estimated municipal share of the project cost and the financing options.
Ms. Adams answered questions by Council followed by Mr. Alexander and Mr. Bryan, who both answered numerous questions by Council.
Motion to approve the issuance of the early tender documents for footing and foundation on the basis of the current design and project originally presented to Council.

Motion to amend the main motion and to consider the removal of options 1 to 4 identified in this report as follows:
1. Reduce North Parking $80,000
2. Reduce West Parking $110,000
3. Reduce back of house $120,000
4. Eliminate Multipurpose/office room $380,000
